The cheapest sensible route to Core Ultra, and it still brings Wi-Fi
Quick Specs
- Intel H810 chipset on LGA1851 for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 desktop processors
- Two DDR5 DIMM slots with dual-channel support and XMP profiles
- PCIe x16 graphics slot on a Micro-ATX layout
- M.2 socket for PCIe NVMe storage plus SATA 6Gb/s ports
- Onboard Wi-Fi with Bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet
An efficient everyday Intel machine
Core Ultra Series 2 is at its best in exactly this kind of build: a Core Ultra 5 in a small case, running cool and quiet, doing office work, browsing, light creative work and casual gaming on integrated graphics. The H810M-A WiFi gives that machine everything it needs and nothing it does not, including wireless and Bluetooth in the box so it can sit anywhere in the house without a cable run. The low package power of these chips means a modest cooler and a modest PSU are genuinely sufficient, which keeps total build cost down.
Understand what H810 is for
This is Intel's entry chipset and it is not a gaming enthusiast board. Two DIMM slots cap memory expansion, there is no CPU overclocking, PCIe lane provision to secondary slots and additional M.2 sockets is limited, and networking is Gigabit rather than 2.5G. Power delivery targets mainstream Core Ultra 5 chips, not the top of the stack under sustained load. If you are pairing a high-end graphics card with a Core Ultra 7 or 9, or you want multiple NVMe drives and real tuning control, buy a B860 or Z890 board instead.
