Eighteen cores and DDR5-7200 support at Core Ultra 5 money — the value pick of the LGA1851 range.
Quick Specs
- 18 cores (6 P-cores + 12 E-cores) / 18 threads
- 4.2GHz P-core base, up to 5.3GHz turbo
- 30MB Intel Smart Cache
- 125W base power, 159W max turbo
- DDR5 up to 7200 MT/s; no integrated graphics
More cores and faster memory for less
The 250KF adds four efficiency cores over the 245K (eighteen total), 6MB more cache, a higher 5.3GHz turbo and — the interesting part — official DDR5-7200 support rather than 6400. Faster memory helps everywhere on a hybrid design, and combined with the extra cores it makes this a strong multi-tasking chip while keeping the same 4.2GHz base for responsiveness. On price it often undercuts the 245K, which makes it the sensible default here.
The "F" and the thread count
No integrated graphics at all, so a discrete card is required — no display output without one. And as with all Core Ultra, there's no Hyper-Threading: eighteen cores means eighteen threads. Cooling is manageable at 159W maximum turbo — a good tower air cooler will do — but nothing is included in the box. If you want on-board graphics, the 250K is the same chip with Xe cores enabled.
