For the machine that doesn't need a GPU
Identical silicon to the 12100F with the integrated graphics enabled, which makes it the right choice for an office PC, a reception machine, a media box or a home server — anywhere a graphics card would just be cost and heat. UHD 730 drives multiple displays and handles 4K video playback fine. It's also handy insurance in a gaming build: if the graphics card ever fails, the machine still boots and shows a picture while you sort it out.
Not a gaming GPU
Be clear on what UHD 730 is for: desktop, video and very light 3D. It is not comparable to AMD's Radeon 740M or 760M — if you want to game without a card, the AMD APUs elsewhere in this collection are a different class. And in a build where a discrete card is definitely going in, the 12100F is the same CPU for less money. Four cores also limits streaming and heavy multitasking; the i5-12400 is the next sensible step.

Before you buy
Which motherboards will this CPU fit?
It uses the LGA1700 socket, so it needs a motherboard with a matching socket. Sockets are not cross-compatible - a chip will not physically fit a board built for a different one. Every motherboard we list shows its socket on the Specifications tab, and it is worth checking the board maker’s support list for a BIOS update if the board is from an earlier generation than the chip.
How many cores and threads does it have?
4 cores and 8 threads. Cores do the work; threads are the number of jobs the chip can keep in flight at once. Games lean on a handful of fast cores, while rendering, compiling and video export scale with the total count.
What sort of cooler does it need?
It is rated at 60W TDP, which is the heat a cooler has to carry away under sustained load. Match or beat that figure with the cooler you choose, and check the What’s in the box list above - some processors ship with a cooler, some do not. Our PC Builder only offers coolers that fit the socket you have picked.
Do I need a separate graphics card with it?
No - this processor has integrated graphics, so it will drive a display on its own. You still want a graphics card for gaming or GPU-accelerated creative work, but the machine will boot and run without one.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?

What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
