Z890 overclocking at a Prime price

The Prime Z890-P is a sensible base for a Core Ultra 7 265K or Ultra 9 285K. Z890 unlocks CPU multiplier and memory tuning, and the 14+1+2+1 power stages rated at 80A have the headroom for it. Storage is generous: four M.2 slots, the first at PCIe 5.0 x4 from the CPU, plus four SATA ports. The rear USB-C runs at 20Gbps with DisplayPort Alt Mode, and BIOS FlashBack, a pre-mounted I/O shield and PCIe Q-Release keep the build simple.

No WiFi: how it differs from the Prime Z890-P WiFi

We also list the Prime Z890-P WiFi. This version has no wireless module, no Bluetooth and no antenna, so it only makes sense if your PC is cabled to the router. If you use Bluetooth headphones or controllers, or the PC sits far from the router, buy the WiFi model instead of adding an adapter later. Either way, Prime is the value range: you won't get a diagnostic display, premium audio or 5Gb networking, and for a locked Core Ultra chip a B860 board does the job for less.
