X870 features for a desk-bound PC

This board is for a Ryzen 9000 build that plugs straight into the router. You get a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot, a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot, three more M.2 slots and two USB4 40Gbps ports at the back that also carry DisplayPort video. Power delivery is 14+2+1 stages rated at 80A on an eight-layer PCB. The I/O shield is pre-mounted, PCIe Q-Release frees the graphics card without fiddling, and BIOS FlashBack lets you update firmware for a new CPU without one installed.

No WiFi: how it differs from the Prime X870-P WiFi

We also stock the Prime X870-P WiFi. The layout is the same, but this version has no Wi-Fi module, no Bluetooth and no antenna in the box. If your PC sits next to the router or you already use a wired connection, there is no point paying for wireless. If you need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth headphones and controllers, buy the WiFi model or budget for a PCIe or USB adapter. Note also that there are only two SATA ports, and M.2_4 shares bandwidth with them, so this is not the board for a pile of hard drives.
