The step up from a toy wheel
The 900-degree mode is the reason to buy this over the V3 PRO. At 900 degrees the wheel turns two and a half times lock to lock like a real car, so sims and truck games feel right, and a physical switch drops it to 270 for arcade racers. The 16-bit magnetic encoder reads small corrections accurately, and the pedals use Hall-effect sensors, which measure position with magnets instead of a wiper and do not wear or get noisy with age.
Know the limits
Feedback is still dual vibration motors, not force feedback, so the wheel will rumble but will not resist you through a corner. It has two pedals, so there is no clutch – if you want a clutch and an H-pattern shifter for manual driving, the V9 Gen 2 adds both for R700 more. Clamps are included for mounting to a desk or stand.
