The cheapest way into racing with a wheel – and it works on almost every console you own
Quick Specs
- 180-degree linear steering with dual vibration motors.
- Two adaptive linear pedals for throttle and brake.
- Plays on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
- Suction cups on the base for desk grip.
- USB plug and play – no power brick.
Who it is for
The V3 PRO is a first wheel. It turns 180 degrees, which suits arcade racers like Forza Horizon, Need for Speed and Mario Kart far better than a controller, and it runs on almost any console in the house, which makes it a good family pick. The pedals are adaptive, so a light press and a stamp feel different, and the textured rim is comfortable for long sessions. Two dual vibration motors give you a rumble when you hit a kerb or another car.
What it is not
Be clear on the trade-off before you buy: this is vibration, not force feedback. The wheel will not push back against you in a corner, and 180 degrees is too little rotation for serious sims like iRacing or Assetto Corsa Competizione. If those are the games you play, step up to the V9 Gen 2 for 900 degrees or the V99 for real force feedback. Its suction cups also hold best on smooth, sealed desks.
