For High-End Gaming and Creative Work
The Core Ultra 7 265KF is an Arrow Lake desktop processor for gamers and creators who want high clock speeds and lots of cores in one chip. Eight Performance-cores reach up to 5.4GHz, with Turbo Boost Max 3.0 taking the fastest cores to 5.5GHz, while twelve Efficient-cores handle background and multithreaded work. It uses the LGA1851 socket and supports DDR5 only, so it needs a new LGA1851 motherboard and DDR5 memory; owners of LGA1700 systems cannot drop it into their existing board. Twenty-four PCIe lanes with PCIe 5.0 support cover a current graphics card and fast NVMe storage.
KF Means Unlocked, No Graphics, No Hyper-Threading
The K means it is unlocked for overclocking on a supporting motherboard. The F means there is no integrated graphics: a dedicated graphics card is required for any display output, so choose the non-F 265K if you want built-in graphics as a backup. Thread count matches core count at 20 because Hyper-Threading is not supported on this generation. The built-in Intel AI Boost NPU, rated at 13 TOPS (Int8), supports Windows Studio Effects and AI frameworks such as OpenVINO and DirectML. With a maximum turbo power of 250W, plan for a capable cooler to keep boost clocks up under heavy load.
