Twenty cores at a 65W base — the same 5.3GHz ceiling as the K, on a third of the power budget.
Quick Specs
- 20 cores (8 P-cores + 12 E-cores) / 20 threads
- 2.4GHz P-core base, up to 5.3GHz turbo
- 30MB Intel Smart Cache
- 65W base power, 182W max turbo
- Intel Graphics, 4 Xe-cores up to 1.95GHz; 13 TOPS NPU
The efficient twenty-core
Same core layout as the 265K — eight Performance-cores, twelve efficiency cores — and a 5.3GHz turbo just 200MHz shy of it, but starting from a 65W base rather than 125W. For a machine that runs long encodes, renders or builds, that lower floor means less heat in the room and a quieter build, without giving up much peak speed. Xe graphics keep display output available and the AI Boost NPU is unchanged.
What the low base costs you
2.4GHz base is genuinely low, so under an all-core sustained load this chip settles lower than the 265K and finishes heavy jobs a little slower. It's also locked — no overclocking. For a workstation that values quiet and efficiency, that's a fair trade; for a gaming build chasing maximum frames, the 265K's higher clocks are the better buy. A good tower air cooler handles the 182W ceiling; no cooler is included.
