Comfort and sound for long sessions
The HS80 RGB WIRELESS is a mid-to-premium headset built around comfort. A floating headband spreads the weight, and memory foam ear pads seal around your ears. The 50mm neodymium drivers cover 20Hz to 40kHz, and on PC you get Dolby Atmos spatial audio for positional cues in supported games. Wirelessly it runs at 24-bit/48kHz over SLIPSTREAM WIRELESS; connect the USB cable and it becomes a 24-bit/96kHz wired headset. The omni-directional microphone is pitched as broadcast-grade, flips up to mute and has an LED mute indicator, so you know when you're live.
Who should look elsewhere
The microphone isn't detachable, so this isn't the one to wear on a commute. Dolby Atmos works on PC only; on PS4 and PS5 it connects through the included USB receiver but without Atmos. There's no Bluetooth, so phones and Xbox are out. Battery life is rated at up to 20 hours, which is a few long evenings rather than a week. If you mostly game on Xbox, or want a headset you can also use on the go, look at a Bluetooth-capable model instead. iCUE handles EQ, sidetone and RGB on PC.
