Identical hardware, different finish
This is the white HS80 — mechanically and acoustically the same headset as the carbon model, which matters because the white version of a product is too often a cheaper variant. It is not here. The 50mm custom-tuned drivers reach 20Hz at the bottom and 40kHz at the top, well past the usual 20kHz ceiling, which keeps the audible high end clean and separated rather than compressed. Dolby Audio surround places sounds in space, so you track a footstep to a direction instead of just a side.
Built for streaming as much as playing
White gear reads better on camera, which is part of why this version exists. The boom mic detaches for when you are not talking, covers 100Hz–10kHz with -40dB sensitivity, and keeps callouts intelligible under pressure. The USB connection means stable, latency-free audio on PC with no battery to manage. RGB runs through iCUE alongside Corsair keyboards, mice and cooling. At 371g it is comfortable for long sessions — worth mentioning that the light finish will show wear on the headband sooner than the carbon version does.
