A 2.4GHz dongle rather than Bluetooth, which is the difference between audio that lines up with the picture and audio that lags behind it.
Quick Specs
- Wireless over a 2.4GHz connection
- Virtual 7.1 surround sound
- Built-in microphone
- Over-ear closed-back design
- 18-month Redragon warranty
Why 2.4GHz beats Bluetooth for gaming
Bluetooth adds tens of milliseconds of delay because of how it buffers and compresses audio. For music nobody notices. For a shooter, a gunshot arriving after the muzzle flash is genuinely disorienting, and for competitive play it costs you information. A dedicated 2.4GHz dongle sidesteps that with a direct low-latency link. The trade is that you need a free USB port and you must not lose the dongle, because a replacement is usually not available separately.
What 7.1 surround actually means here
There are not seven drivers in each cup. There is one driver per side and software that applies head-related filtering to make sounds appear to come from behind or above. Whether that helps is personal. Some players find it genuinely useful for locating footsteps in large maps, others find it smears the sound and switch it off within a week. Treat it as a feature you may or may not use, not as the reason to buy.
FEATURES:
- 2.4GHz wireless connection for low-latency audio
- Virtual 7.1 surround sound processing
- Built-in microphone for team chat
