A webcam for people who are on camera all day
The MX Brio is aimed at people whose job involves a lot of video: consultants, teachers, recruiters and content creators. The Sony Starvis sensor with 1.45µm pixels gathers more light than the small sensors in budget webcams, so you look sharper and less noisy in a normal office. It records 4K at 30fps, or 1080p at a smooth 60fps, and the 90° field of view with 4x digital zoom lets you frame tightly or show the room. Two beamforming microphones reduce background noise. Show Mode lets you tilt it down to share what's on your desk, and the shutter rotates to block the lens completely.
What you need to get the most out of it
The MX Brio connects with a USB-C to USB-C cable and needs a USB-C port that supports USB 3.0; plug it into an older USB-A port with an adapter and you may lose the higher resolutions. Logitech's software, including auto-framing through Logi Tune, runs on Windows and macOS only; on ChromeOS and Linux it works as a basic UVC camera. Most video-call platforms send 1080p at best, so 4K is mainly useful for recording. If you only take the odd Teams call, the Brio 500 or C920s will do the job for less.
