The C920 has been the reference webcam for a decade: 1080p at 30fps through a glass autofocus lens, with a mic on each side.
Quick Specs
- 1080p at 30fps, 720p and lower
- Autofocus glass lens, 78° diagonal field of view
- Dual stereo microphones
- RightLight 2 light correction
- USB 2.0, 1.5 m cable, tripod thread
Plug in and it just works
The C920 is a USB video class camera, so Windows, macOS and ChromeOS pick it up without drivers. That makes it an easy upgrade over a blurry laptop camera for Teams, Zoom or a bit of casual streaming. The five-element glass lens with autofocus keeps you sharp at desk distance, the 78° field of view frames one person and a bit of background, and the two microphones either side give clearer voice pickup than most built-in laptop mics. The universal clip sits on a laptop lid or monitor, and the base has a tripod thread if you'd rather mount it separately.
C920 versus C920s and C922
This is the original C920 without a privacy shutter. If you want a cover you can slide over the lens, the C920s is the same camera with a shutter added. The C922 adds 720p at 60fps for smoother streaming and comes with a tripod. The C920's RightLight 2 copes with an average room, but it won't save a dark office or a bright window behind you the way the Brio 500's HDR does. Video is capped at 1080p30, so this is a calling camera, not a 4K content camera.
