A simple upgrade from a laptop camera
The Brio 100 is the entry webcam for home offices, students and anyone who just needs to look better on calls than a laptop camera allows. It gives Full HD 1080p at 30fps through a four-element glass lens with an anti-reflective coating, and RightLight 2 brightens the picture and reduces shadows in a dim room. The integrated privacy shutter slides closed when you're done. It plugs into a USB-A port and works straight away on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, and it's certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. At 75 g it sits comfortably on a laptop lid.
What you give up at this price
The lens is fixed focus, so it's sharp at normal sitting distance but won't refocus if you hold something up close. The 58.9° field of view is narrow, which suits one person at a desk but won't fit a group. The microphone is mono with a range of about 1.2 m, fine for calls in a quiet room. If you want autofocus, stereo mics and a wider view, the C920s is the next step up. For HDR and better low-light results, look at the Brio 500.
