Smooth linear switches at a 50gf actuation force, a touch heavier than red, in a 110-pack that covers a full-size keyboard with spares.
Quick Specs
- 110 Gateron Phantom Yellow switches
- Linear switch type
- 50gf actuation force

- MX-style design for hot-swap keyboards
What the Yellow Phantom is like to type on
The Yellow Phantom is a linear switch: it travels smoothly from top to bottom with no bump or click, which many gamers like for fast, consistent presses. At 50gf it is a little heavier than a typical red switch, giving more resistance that helps prevent accidental keypresses when you rest your fingers on the keys. It is rated as quiet, so it works in a shared office or late-night gaming. It suits typists who find red switches too light. If you want feedback on every keystroke, the Brown Phantom gives a tactile bump instead.
Before you swap
These switches are made for hot-swappable keyboards with MX-style sockets, so you can pull the old switches and press these in without soldering. Check that your keyboard is hot-swappable before ordering; on a soldered board you would need to desolder every switch. A pack of 110 covers a full-size layout with spares. The switches are SMD-LED compatible, so south-facing RGB on your board will still light the keycaps. Images of other colours are shown for illustration only.
