Retro looks on a familiar profile
OEM is the sculpted profile most pre-built keyboards ship with, so this set changes the look of your board without changing how it feels to type on. The Hacker colourway has a retro computer-terminal style, and the legends are five-sided dye-sublimated into 1.6 mm PBT, so they will not fade. Keychron sells the Hacker set in three versions; this is Version C, the full set, which covers the widest range of Keychron layouts. Windows and Linux modifier keys are included. Keychron does not publish the exact key count for Version C.
Before you buy: layout and fit
Version C is listed for Keychron's Q, Q HE, V, V 8K and V Max ranges (excluding Alice, Split and Q9 Plus layouts), the 81 Pro, K2, K4, K6, K8, K10, K12 and K14 families, C1 and C2, and Lemokey L1, L3, L4 and P1 boards. Scroll Lock and Pause Break caps are not included. Stems are MX-style for normal-profile switches, so these will not fit low-profile boards; low-profile owners should look at the LSA Hacker set instead. The legends do not let backlighting through, and Keychron's compatibility lists differ slightly between pages, so confirm your model.
