What the Brown Phantom is like to type on
The Brown Phantom is a tactile switch, with a small bump partway down that tells your finger the key has registered. That feedback suits typists and programmers who want to know each press has landed without bottoming out, and it remains comfortable for gaming. It sits between the light, smooth feel of a linear switch and the sharp click of a blue switch. If you want the smoothest possible travel for fast gaming, choose the Red or Yellow Phantom linear switches instead, and if you want an audible click, look for a clicky blue switch.
Before you swap
These switches are made for hot-swappable keyboards with MX-style sockets, so you can pull the old switches and press these in without soldering. Check that your keyboard is hot-swappable before ordering; on a soldered board you would need to desolder every switch. A pack of 110 covers a full-size layout with spares. The switches are SMD-LED compatible, so your board's RGB will still light the keycaps. Images of other colours are shown for illustration only.
