Built around a Ryzen X3D gaming rig

The X870E AORUS PRO X3D is designed for builds based on Ryzen 7 9800X3D or Ryzen 9 X3D processors. The full X870E chipset gives it more connectivity than X870 boards: four M.2 slots (two PCIe 5.0 x4 from the CPU and two PCIe 4.0 x4 from the chipset), 5GbE networking and Wi-Fi 7 with 320MHz channels using a Qualcomm module. The rear panel is well stocked with two USB4 ports, two 10Gbps USB-C, five 10Gbps USB-A and three 5Gbps USB-A, and an internal 20Gbps USB-C header supports up to 65W fast charging for a front case port. Eight fan headers suit large air or AIO setups.

Before you buy

The second CPU M.2 slot (M2B) shares bandwidth with the USB4 controller, so using it drops both to x2; keep your main Gen5 drive in M2A. Ryzen 8000 APUs cannot use M2B and run the main slot at PCIe 4.0. The Wi-Fi 7 module needs Windows 11, as there is no Windows 10 driver. There is a single 5GbE port rather than the dual 5GbE on the AERO X3D WOOD. If you want the same board in white for a light-themed build, look at the ICE version.
