A sensible AM4 upgrade board
The B550M K is aimed at builders sticking with AM4 and DDR4, whether that is a new Ryzen 5 5600 or 5700X gaming PC or a refresh of an older A320 or B450 system. Compared with an A520 board, you get PCIe 4.0 on the graphics slot and the main M.2 slot when using a Ryzen 5000 or 3000 CPU, four DIMM slots for up to 128GB and a second M.2 slot for extra storage. HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 are ready for a Ryzen G-series APU. B550 also allows CPU and memory overclocking, which A520 does not.
Where it keeps costs down
This is a stripped-back B550 board. It has just one CPU fan header and one system fan header, so cases with several fans will need a hub or splitter, and there are no RGB headers. The second M.2 slot runs at PCIe 3.0 x2, which is fine for a games drive but slower than the primary slot. Networking is Gigabit Ethernet only. Note that Ryzen G-series APUs drop the x16 slot and main M.2 to PCIe 3.0. If you want Wi-Fi, more fan headers or RGB control, look at a higher B550 model; if you are starting fresh, AM5 with DDR5 is the longer-term platform.

Is it in stock, and when will it ship?

What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
