Gen4 speed in the short 2230 size
The P310 packs 2TB of Micron 3D NAND onto the compact 2230 M.2 format, so it suits laptops, compact systems and handheld devices that only have room for a short drive. It is a Gen4 NVMe drive with up to 7,100MB/s reads and 6,000MB/s writes, which helps with boot times, game loading and moving large project files. It is backward compatible with Gen3 slots, where it will run at Gen3 speeds. For a 2TB drive in a small device, the 440TB endurance rating gives plenty of room for everyday use.
Check the slot before you buy
Length matters with M.2 drives. Most desktop motherboards are built around the longer 2280 size, and a 2230 drive only fits where the slot has a matching 2230 mounting point or you use a suitable adapter. If you are filling a standard desktop slot, a 2280 drive is usually the simpler choice. If your device specifically takes 2230, this drive is a strong fit. Crucial also includes dynamic write acceleration, power loss immunity, TRIM, SMART and hardware-level TCG Pyrite password security.
FEATURES:
- Sequential reads and writes up to 7,100/6,000MB/s
- Dynamic write acceleration and active garbage collection
- Integrated power loss immunity and error correction code (ECC)
- User password security (TCG Pyrite)
- NVMe low power modes for better battery life in portable devices
