Silent power for high-end builds

The X Silent Edge Platinum 1100 is for builders who want a powerful PC that makes as little noise as possible. With no fan, the PSU itself is silent under any load, and Cooler Master uses patented heat pipe dissipation, an active bridge rectifier with Infineon CoolMOS parts and an industrial-grade Infineon controller to keep losses and heat down. The 1100W rating and native 12V-2x6 lead cover current high-end graphics cards, with four extra PCIe 6+2-pin leads for older cards. If your build is mid-range, a fan-cooled 750W or 850W unit will cost far less and do the job.

Fanless trade-offs and fitting

Passive cooling depends on case airflow, so mount it where it can breathe and avoid cramped, hot PSU chambers; operating temperature is rated at 0 to 40°C. There is a 4-pin external fan connector if you want to add assisted cooling. At 180mm long it is larger than a standard 140mm-150mm ATX unit, so check your case's PSU clearance and allow room for the modular cables. The USB 10-pin and PMBus connections feed MasterCTRL, which shows temperature, load and efficiency in real time. This is the 230V version, with 200-240V input.
