The other way into the TUF range: a newer Ryzen 7 170 in place of the 7445HS, for the same R20 999.
Quick Specs
- AMD Ryzen 7 170 processor
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
- 8GB DDR5 SO-DIMM, 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- 15.6" TUF Gaming chassis
- Windows 11 Home, 1 year ASUS warranty
How it compares to the other A15
We stock two TUF A15s at exactly R20 999. This one has the Ryzen 7 170; the other has the Ryzen 7 7445HS. Both pair it with an RTX 3050, 8GB of DDR5 and a 512GB drive, so in practice you are choosing between two similar eight-core chips rather than between two different laptops. If both are in stock we would take whichever is available sooner - there is no meaningful winner.
What to expect from it
1080p gaming at medium to high settings. The RTX 3050 is a previous-generation part and it is honest about its limits: it will run current titles, but not at high refresh and not with ray tracing on. What it does give you is a real discrete GPU with DLSS support at the bottom of the gaming-laptop market, in a chassis built to take being carried.
The upgrade you should budget for
8GB is the constraint here, not the graphics card. Modern games increasingly want 16GB and you will feel the shortfall as stutter rather than as low frame rates. Adding a second DDR5 SO-DIMM is the cheapest meaningful improvement this machine can take - we stock them and can fit one for you.

Questions
Before you buy
What is inside this laptop?
RTX 3050 graphics, 8GB DDR5 of memory and a 15.6" 144Hz display. The full configuration, including storage and ports, is in the Specifications section above.
Can I upgrade the memory or storage later?
It varies by model - some laptops have sockets you can reach behind a service panel, others solder the memory to the board. Whatever this one supports is listed under Specifications, and opening the machine yourself can affect the warranty. Ask us before you buy an upgrade and we will confirm what will fit.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
This one is out of stock at the moment. Stock does come back in - WhatsApp us on 079 491 0181 with the model and we will tell you what the supplier is showing and let you know when it lands, rather than leaving you to keep checking the page.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
Payments are processed by Stitch. At the last step of checkout you are taken to Stitch’s secure page to pay, and brought back here once it is done. Your card details are entered on Stitch’s secure, PCI-compliant page and never touch our systems.
