What you are actually paying for
Not frames. The RTX 5060 here runs at 105W in a chassis 1.5cm thick, and a Strix with the same GPU will beat it. You are paying for the OLED panel, the 1.85kg weight, the 90Wh battery, the four-speaker system, Thunderbolt 4, and a machine that does not announce itself as a gaming laptop in a meeting. It is the ROG for people whose laptop is their only computer.
The OLED
2560 x 1600, 240Hz, 100% DCI-P3. OLED means true blacks and per-pixel contrast, which is transformative in dark games and genuinely useful for grading video. The usual OLED caveats apply - static interface elements left on screen for many hours at high brightness are the thing to be mindful of over years, not months.
Worth knowing before you buy
The 16GB of LPDDR5X is soldered to the board. There is no expansion, ever. If you know you need 32GB, this configuration is not the one to buy - tell us and we will look at what else is available in the range. The 1TB SSD is a standard M.2 and can be replaced.
