The first ROG in the collection, and the first machine here with a 2.5K screen - which is the point, because an RTX 5060 has the legs for 1440p.

What R43 499 buys over a TUF
Three things that are hard to add later. A 2.5K 16:10 panel covering 100% of DCI-P3, which is a genuinely good screen for photo and video work as well as games. Per-key RGB and the Strix cooling design, which has more thermal headroom than the TUF chassis and therefore holds clocks longer under sustained load. And a three-year warranty instead of one - on a R43 000 machine that is not a detail.
The GPU question, answered honestly
At this price you might expect more than an RTX 5060. You are paying for the chassis, the panel and the warranty as much as the graphics, and if raw frames per rand is the only thing you care about, the TUF A16 with the same Ryzen 9 costs R3 700 less. Where the Strix earns it is over years rather than benchmarks: better sustained performance, a screen you will not want to replace, and cover if something goes wrong in year two.
