Bronze in 2026, and when that is the right call
Efficiency rating and safety are separate questions. Bronze costs you a few percent at the wall compared to Gold, which over a year of gaming is a modest number on a Highveld electricity bill, but it says nothing about whether the unit holds 12V steady. What matters more on a modern build is the ATX 12V 3.1 compliance and the 600W-rated 12V-2x6 connector, both of which the CSK 850 Pro has and most Bronze units at this price do not. Buy it if you want the modern connector and would rather spend the difference on the GPU.
Semi-modular, and what that costs you
The 24-pin and CPU cables are fixed to the unit, so they are in your case whether you use them or not. Everything else detaches: four 8-pin (6+2) PCIe leads, six SATA, three Molex and the 16-pin GPU cable. In a mid-tower with a decent cable tunnel this is a non-issue. In a compact case with a glass side panel and no depth behind the tray, the permanently attached bundle is the part you will be fighting. The chassis is 140mm deep, which is standard ATX.

Why Antec?

Before you buy
Is this enough power for my build?
It is a 850W supply rated 80 Plus Bronze. Add up what your parts need - the graphics card is usually the biggest single draw, and every card we sell lists its recommended system wattage - then leave headroom above that figure. A supply running at roughly half its rating is quieter and lasts longer than one held near its limit.
Is it modular?
It is Semi-Modular. Fully modular means every cable unplugs, so you only fit the ones you need; semi-modular keeps the motherboard and CPU cables attached and makes the rest optional; non-modular has them all permanently fixed. It is a tidiness and airflow question rather than a performance one. Never reuse cables from a different supply - the pinouts differ between brands.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
Yes - this one is in stock. Order before 12:00 on a working day and it ships the same day; after that it goes out the next working day. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, so an order placed over a weekend or a public holiday ships on the next working day.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?

Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
