A kilowatt with a 600W-rated 12V-2x6 cable for R1699, which is roughly what a Gold 850 costs.
Quick Specs
- 1000W continuous output, 80 PLUS Bronze (230V EU)
- ATX 12V 3.1 and PCIe 5.1
- Native 16-pin 12V-2x6 GPU cable rated to 600W
- Semi-modular, 120mm silent fan with Thermal Manager control
- 5-year warranty
Capacity over efficiency, deliberately
The trade in this unit is explicit. You get a kilowatt of capacity and the current ATX 3.1 connector, and you give up the Gold efficiency band to pay for it. If your card is a 5080 or 5090 and the alternative at this money is a Gold 750 that will sit at 90 percent load, the extra headroom here is the better buy. Running a 1000W unit at 450W also keeps the fan slow, so in practice the noise difference against a harder-worked Gold unit is smaller than the rating suggests.
Cables and the Thermal Manager fan
Against the CSK 850 Pro, the cable complement is the same: four 8-pin (6+2) PCIe leads, six SATA, three Molex, two 8-pin (4+4) CPU and the 16-pin GPU cable, with the motherboard and CPU leads permanently attached. The difference is the 150W of extra capacity and 70 grams of extra transformer. The Thermal Manager keeps the 120mm fan on low voltage until load actually calls for airflow, which matters in a closed-front case where the supply is the only thing still spinning at idle. Chassis depth is 140mm.
