The same lightweight Ares chassis as the plain H120, with lighting added and twenty rand on the price.
Quick Specs
- Over-ear closed-back gaming headset
- Wired 3.5mm aux connection for audio and mic
- RGB lighting on the earcups
- Highly sensitive microphone
- 18-month Redragon warranty
What the RGB version changes
Only the lighting. The cups, the headband, the mic and the aux audio path are shared with the standard H120, so do not expect it to sound different. What does change is the cabling: lighting needs power, so there is a USB lead alongside the 3.5mm plug. On a desktop that is a non-issue. On a PS5 controller or a Switch, the audio still works but the lighting has nothing to draw from, so you are paying for a feature you cannot use.
Who should buy the plain one instead
Console players, anyone who wants one cable, and anyone who finds glowing earcups faintly embarrassing on a work call. The lighting sits on the outside of the cups where you cannot see it while wearing the headset, so it is entirely for other people and for the look of your desk. That is a legitimate reason to buy it. It is just worth naming rather than pretending it improves the audio.
