Built to stay where you put it
The most common complaint about cheap mic arms is sag: you set the mic, it holds for ten minutes, then it creeps down and you spend the rest of the session nudging it back. The CAST STEADY uses a self-locking design with properly matched tension, so the arm stays at the angle you set it. The joints are damped to move quietly too, which matters more than it sounds — a squeaky arm is picked up directly by the microphone hanging off it, and no amount of post-processing removes that cleanly.
Reach, routing and quick swaps
With 77.5cm of vertical travel and 75cm horizontally, the arm can bring a mic in close for a seated podcast or swing it well out of the way when you need the desk back. A quick-release mechanism lets you pull the mic off and put another on without unscrewing anything, and an internal cable channel routes the USB or XLR lead through the arm rather than letting it dangle across your monitor. The clamp handles desks from 15mm to 105mm thick, so thin glass tops and thick butcher-block both work.
