Fast, light storage for work and study
The Transporter Lite is a slim portable SSD for people who move large files between computers: students carrying projects, photographers offloading shoots, or anyone backing up a laptop. At up to 1000MB/s read and write it is many times quicker than a portable hard drive, and with no moving parts it copes better with being carried around. The dual-connector cable means it plugs into newer USB-C laptops and older USB-A machines without an adapter. It works with Windows and macOS, and the aluminium housing helps spread heat during long transfers.
Who it suits, and who should look further
To get the full 1000MB/s you need a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) port; on an older USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port it still works, just more slowly. If you edit high-bitrate video straight from the drive and your computer has a 20Gbps USB port, a faster USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 drive will make better use of it. For everyday backups, file transport and game libraries, 1000MB/s is plenty. The 2TB capacity gives room for large photo libraries or several games, and the red finish makes it easy to spot in a bag.
