A legacy DDR3 replacement stick for keeping an older desktop alive and working.

- 240-pin DDR3 DIMM form factor
- 1.5V standard DDR3 operating voltage
- Bare green PCB, no heat spreader, no RGB
What this module is actually for
This is a repair and legacy-maintenance part, and we would rather say so than dress it up. DDR3 desktops are a decade or more old now, and the reason to buy a stick like this is a specific one: a module has failed, an office fleet machine needs to stay in service, a second-hand PC came with an empty slot, or a family desktop needs to keep running Windows and a browser without paging constantly. At 1600MHz and 1.5V it matches the most common DDR3 spec of that era, so it slots alongside existing sticks in most systems without any BIOS fiddling.
Do not buy this for gaming
Four gigabytes is not a modern gaming configuration, and no amount of framing changes that — 16GB is the practical floor for current titles, and 8GB struggles. Nor is this an upgrade path: DDR3 platforms are end of life, their CPUs are far behind current entry-level parts, and money spent topping one up is money not spent on a modern build. If you are gaming and considering this, put the budget toward a DDR4 or DDR5 system instead. Note also that DDR3 is physically incompatible with DDR4 and DDR5 boards; the notch position differs and the module will not seat. Single rank matters for mixing — some older boards are fussy about combining ranks and densities, so check your motherboard's QVL and existing modules before ordering.
