Entry NVMe in the standard 2280 stick
The Patriot P300 is a 256GB PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe drive in the M.2 2280 form factor. It is a mid-tier Gen3 drive rather than an entry Gen3 x2 part, and at 256GB it works best as a boot drive with a second drive for games and media. Installation is one screw into the M.2 standoff - check your slot's length, keying and PCIe generation before ordering.
Key Features
- Form factor: M.2 2280 - the 80mm module most desktop boards and modern laptops take
- Sequential speeds: Up to 1,700 MB/s read and 1,100 MB/s write over PCIe Gen3 x4, NVMe 1.3
- Random performance: Up to 290K IOPS 4K aligned random read and 260K IOPS 4K aligned random write
- Endurance: 80TB written (TBW)
- HMB technology: Host Memory Buffer support, plus NANDXtend ECC and end-to-end data path protection
- Low power draw: 2.07W under full load and 0.37W at idle, which helps notebook battery life
