Two native 12V-2x6 connectors, each rated to 600W, which is unusual at 1000W and the reason this unit suits a workstation with two cards rather than only a gaming build.
Quick Specs
- 1000W continuous output
- 80 PLUS Gold certified, up to 90% efficiency
- Fully compliant with ATX 3.1 and PCIe CEM 5.1
- 2x native 12V-2x6 connectors, 600W each
- 135 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan with zero fan mode
Headroom for the Top of the Stack
At 1000W this is the unit for an RTX 5090 class card, or for a build that mixes a high core count CPU with a GPU that spikes hard under load. MSI rates it for 235% total power excursion and 3x GPU power excursion, so the transient behaviour of a 500W-plus card does not put the supply into protection. Two separate 600W 12V-2x6 connectors mean a dual-card render or AI workstation gets a native cable to each card instead of daisy-chained adapters. If you are building around a single mid-range GPU, this is more supply than you need and the A850GL is the sensible spend.
Quiet Most of the Time
Zero fan mode holds the 135 mm fan stationary until load passes 40% of rated output. On a 1000W unit that threshold sits around 400W, which covers desktop work, browsing and a large share of gaming, so the supply is silent for most of a working day. The fan uses a fluid dynamic bearing, so the stop-start cycling that wears out sleeve bearings is not a concern. Modular cables use an embossed jacket that bends more willingly than flat ribbon in tight routing channels, and the 12V-2x6 cables carry the dual-colour yellow connector for seating confidence.

- 235% total power excursion and 3x GPU power excursion handling

- Embossed jacket modular cables for easier routing
- Extended protection set including SIP and NLO

Questions
Before you buy
Is this enough power for my build?
It is a 1000W supply rated 80 Plus Gold. Add up what your parts need - the graphics card is usually the biggest single draw, and every card we sell lists its recommended system wattage - then leave headroom above that figure. A supply running at roughly half its rating is quieter and lasts longer than one held near its limit.
Is it modular?
It is Fully Modular. Fully modular means every cable unplugs, so you only fit the ones you need; semi-modular keeps the motherboard and CPU cables attached and makes the rest optional; non-modular has them all permanently fixed. It is a tidiness and airflow question rather than a performance one. Never reuse cables from a different supply - the pinouts differ between brands.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
This one is out of stock at the moment. Stock does come back in - WhatsApp us on 079 491 0181 with the model and we will tell you what the supplier is showing and let you know when it lands, rather than leaving you to keep checking the page.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
Payments are processed by Stitch. At the last step of checkout you are taken to Stitch’s secure page to pay, and brought back here once it is done. Your card details are entered on Stitch’s secure, PCI-compliant page and never touch our systems.
