For typists who like to hear it
Blue switches are the classic clicky mechanical feel: a tactile bump plus an audible click at the actuation point, so you hear and feel each keypress register. People who type a lot on a dedicated desk – writers, programmers, anyone who enjoys a lively-sounding keyboard – tend to like them. The flip side is noise. Blues are the loudest common switch type, so they are a poor match for shared offices, voice chat with an open microphone or a desk next to someone who sleeps light. In those cases a Silent Brown or a linear switch is a better pick.
Check your keyboard first
Compatibility is the main thing to check: these are listed for the Keychron K series (Gateron or Keychron Mechanical Hot-Swappable versions only), K Pro and K Max (normal-profile versions only), C and C Pro (hot-swappable versions only), V and V Max, Q, Q Pro and Q Max, and the Lemokey L and P series. Low-profile boards and soldered, non-hot-swap keyboards are not suitable. The pack of 110 is enough for a full-size layout, so you can swap the whole board in one go and keep the feel consistent. A switch puller is needed to remove the existing switches.
