It suits people who keep large spreadsheets, photo editing, virtual machines or heavy browser sessions open together. Intel XMP support is listed, but many laptops do not expose XMP in the BIOS, so expect the module to run at whatever speed your laptop sets. Light users who only browse and stream will not need this much memory.
Check Your Laptop Before You Buy
This is a SO-DIMM laptop module and will not fit a desktop motherboard. It is DDR4, so it will not work in a DDR3, DDR3L or DDR5 laptop: each generation is keyed differently and they are not interchangeable. Many thin-and-light laptops have some or all of their memory soldered to the board with no free slot, so check the spec sheet or open the base panel first. Crucially, confirm your laptop supports 32GB per slot: some older models top out at 16GB per module and will not recognise this one. A laptop rated below 3200MHz will usually run it at its lower supported speed.
