An entry-level 8GB DDR5 module for office machines and staged upgrades.
Quick Specs
- 8GB single DDR5 UDIMM (not a matched kit)
- 5600MHz rated speed once the profile is enabled in BIOS
- CL46 CAS latency, JEDEC standard timings
- 1.1V nominal DDR5 operating voltage
- 288-pin desktop DIMM, bare PCB, no heat spreader
What this module is actually for
This is the smallest DDR5 module Crucial makes for desktops, and it has a clear job: getting a basic machine running, or matching an existing 8GB stick that shipped in a prebuilt so you can get into dual channel cheaply. It is built to JEDEC spec on Micron DRAM, so it boots without fuss and behaves the same on AM5 and Intel boards. For office work, browsing, email, spreadsheets, schoolwork and light photo editing, 8GB in a machine is workable. As a way to fill an empty second slot alongside an identical module, it is genuinely good value.
Be honest about the capacity
8GB is not enough for modern gaming. Current titles routinely want more than that just for the game, before Windows and a browser take their share, and the result is stutter and long load hitches no amount of speed will fix. 16GB is the practical floor for a gaming PC and 32GB is the sensible build. On top of that, one module means single channel, which costs further performance. If you are building or upgrading a gaming machine, skip this and buy a matched 16GB or 32GB dual-channel kit instead. Buy this for an office box, or to pair with a stick you already own.
FEATURES:
- Micron-fabricated DDR5 DRAM under Crucial's own validation programme
- On-die ECC, part of the DDR5 standard, for improved data integrity
- Pairs cleanly with an identical 8GB module to reach dual channel
- 1.1V nominal operation for low heat and low power draw
- Bare-PCB height clears tall tower coolers and compact chassis

Why Crucial?
Crucial is Micron's consumer memory brand, which puts the chip fabrication and the finished module under one roof. Every Crucial module from AZonline is genuine stock carrying a Limited Lifetime warranty.
Platform note: DDR5 requires an AM5 or Intel LGA1700/LGA1851 motherboard. DDR5 and DDR4 are not interchangeable — the notch position differs physically and the module will not seat in a DDR4 slot. If you are pairing this with an existing module, match the capacity and speed and check your motherboard's QVL.
