A light, wired all-rounder
The HS55 SURROUND is a straightforward wired headset at 273g, light enough for long sessions, with memory foam leatherette ear cups and an adjustable headband. The 3.5mm jack means it works with almost anything: a PC, a PS4 or PS5 controller, an Xbox controller or a phone. On PC and Mac, plug in the included USB adapter and CORSAIR iCUE unlocks Dolby Audio 7.1 surround, custom EQ and sidetone. The omni-directional mic is Discord Certified and mutes when you flip it up, and a volume roller on the ear cup saves reaching for the keyboard.
What it doesn't do
There's no wireless and no lighting, which is how it hits this price. Surround only works through the USB adapter with iCUE on PC or Mac; on consoles and phones it's standard stereo. The mic isn't detachable. Leatherette ear cups block noise well but get warm in a South African summer compared with fabric pads. If you want to move around the room or game on the couch, a wireless model like the HS65 is the better buy.
