- ATX 3.1 with a PCIe Gen 5.1 16-pin (12V-2x6) cable
- 100A on +12V, single rail

Where the extra 200W goes
The jump from the 1000W Thor to this one is 16.7A of additional +12V current, and it costs you nothing in size or weight. That matters for a build with an RTX 5090 and a high-TDP CPU under a sustained load, where the 1000W unit spends its life in the upper half of its curve and this one sits comfortably in the middle of it. A PSU running at 50 percent load is a PSU with a stationary fan. For a single 5070 or 5080 build, this is more than you need and the money is better spent elsewhere.
Cables and clearance
One 750mm PCIe Gen 5.1 16-pin cable feeds a current card directly. Behind it sit four separate 1-to-1 PCIe leads, seven SATA connectors and six peripheral connectors, plus the 800mm Aura Sync RGB cable for the lighting. The chassis is 190mm deep, which rules out a lot of compact mid-towers, so check your case spec sheet against that number and the front cable bundle before you commit.
