Three thumb macro buttons rather than the usual two, on a PMW3335 sensor — the step up in sensor class from the rest of the Redragon wireless range.
Quick Specs
- Pixart PMW3335 optical sensor
- 5 on-board DPI levels: 1000 / 2000 / 4000 / 8000 / 16000
- 8 programmable buttons with 3 side macros
- 1000mAh battery, up to 45 hours in Eco mode
- 2.4GHz nano receiver, 1000Hz polling in dual mode
A better sensor, not just a bigger number
The PMW3335 is a genuine step up from the PAW3104 and PAW3325 used further down the range — a higher-tier Pixart part with cleaner tracking at speed and less smoothing. That is what the 16000 DPI ceiling rests on, though as always the useful range sits far below it. The five on-board levels are fully editable in the Redragon Pro software, so you can set the exact values you want rather than accepting the defaults, and switch between them mid-match.
Three side buttons changes what fits on the mouse
Most gaming mice give the thumb two buttons. The Vampire Elite gives three, which sounds minor until you map it: forward, back and push-to-talk all live on the thumb, leaving the keyboard clear. Across eight fully programmable buttons that is enough for a serious keybind setup without the learning curve of a twelve-key MMO grid. The 1000mAh battery matches the Taipan Max for capacity and delivers up to 45 hours in Eco mode. This is the enthusiast pick in the Redragon wireless line — if you want the same idea lighter and cheaper, the Taipan Pro at R449 is the sensible alternative.
