82g and 10000 DPI for R199 — the lightest mouse in our entry tier, and the one to buy if you play shooters.
Quick Specs
- Up to 10000 DPI across five adjustable steps
- 82g lightweight body
- 6 fully programmable buttons
- 1000Hz polling rate
- Programmable RGB lighting, ergonomic right-handed shape
Weight is what you feel first
At 82g the Naga sits well under the 100g mark where most budget mice land, and that difference shows up in the games where it matters. Fast horizontal flicks in an FPS cost less effort, and your wrist is in better shape three hours in. The shape is ergonomic and right-handed, so it fills the palm rather than asking you to pinch it — comfortable for long sessions, but left-handed players should look elsewhere. The 1000Hz polling rate reports position a thousand times a second, which is the standard competitive players expect and eight times what a typical office mouse manages.
Ten thousand DPI you will mostly ignore — sensibly
The 10000 DPI ceiling is headline material; the useful part is the five steps below it. Most players settle between 800 and 1600 and switch on the fly for a scoped shot or a sniper round. Six programmable buttons is the right count for this shape: two thumb buttons for lean or push-to-talk, DPI up and down, plus the usual three. If you want a wireless version of exactly this mouse, the Naga M730-WL is the same design without the cable at R299 — worth it only if the cable genuinely bothers you, since wired means no charging and no latency debate.
