400 x 450mm — deeper than it is wide, which is the shape that suits low-sensitivity players who sweep the mouse vertically as well as across.
Quick Specs
- 400 x 450mm large square format
- Silk-processed cloth surface
- Waterproof and wipe-clean
- Natural processed rubber anti-slip base
- Superfine, high-density material
An unusual shape, for a reason
Most large pads are wide and shallow, built to sit in front of a keyboard. The Flick L is nearly square at 400 x 450mm, giving as much depth as width. That suits players running low sensitivity in shooters, where aim involves pulling the mouse toward you and pushing it away as much as sweeping side to side. It is a mouse-only pad rather than a full desk mat, so it sits beside the keyboard rather than under it — useful if your keyboard has its own wrist rest you do not want to disturb.
The same waterproof surface, more of it
The silk-processed cloth is identical to the Flick M: a fast, low-resistance glide over a high-density weave, treated so spills bead on the surface instead of soaking in. The natural processed rubber base grips hard enough that broad arm movements do not drag the pad with them — more important on a large pad than a small one, since there is more surface for a mouse to push against. If you want the same surface as a full desk mat, the Flick XL at 400 x 900mm is R279.
