Stitched edging rather than a cut edge — the difference between a pad that lasts years and one that frays by winter.
Quick Specs
- Medium format for small to medium desks
- Premium polyester cloth surface
- Premium stitched edging
- Non-slip natural rubber base
- Wipe-clean and deformation-resistant
The edge is what fails first
On a cheap pad the perimeter is simply cut, so the weave unravels a thread at a time until the corners lift and catch your mouse. The Glide is stitched all the way round, which locks the fibres in and stops both fraying and the gradual warping that makes an old pad sit unevenly. It also adds a small accent of colour to an otherwise plain black pad. Combined with a proper natural rubber base, this is a pad that still lies flat after a couple of years of daily use.
Low friction, without being slippery
The polyester cloth surface is tuned to reduce friction so the mouse moves quickly and predictably — helpful whether you are dragging elements around a design canvas or turning quickly in a game. It stops short of the glassy feel some fast pads have, so you keep enough control to stop precisely. The medium size suits small and medium desks where a full extended pad would crowd the keyboard; if you want desk-wide coverage, the Glide Extra Large at R229 is the same surface in a bigger format.
