The chair you buy when the build took the budget
Most people spend everything on the PC and then sit in whatever chair was already in the room, which is why so many gaming setups end in a sore lower back. The NAVIGATOR LITE is the sensible correction to that: a steel-framed chair with a proper class 3 gas lift, a reclining backrest and both support pillows in the box, at a price that does not compete with a graphics card. It is a first real chair rather than a statement piece, and it is honest about that.
What you adjust, and what you do not
Seat height moves on the gas lift, the backrest tilts through a 45-degree range to 135 degrees, and the armrests move in two directions. That covers the adjustments most people actually use daily. What it does not have is the four-way armrest movement or the near-flat 160-degree recline of the NAVIGATOR X, so if you lean right back between rounds or you are particular about arm position while drawing or editing, the X is the one to look at. At 72 x 67cm with a 116 to 123cm back, the LITE is also the easier fit under a low shelf or in a small room.
FEATURES:
- Ergonomic shaping designed for long sessions rather than short bursts.
- Adjustable seat height and backrest tilt to suit your desk.
- Scratch-resistant PU leather that wipes clean.
- Magnetic velvet neck pillow that stays put, plus a velvet back support pillow.
- Steel frame and smooth-rolling 60mm castors.

Why PCBuilder?
On a chair the parts that fail are the gas lift and the castors, and those are the parts that are worth having a local supplier behind. PCBuilder is stocked and supported in South Africa, and this chair carries a 1 year warranty that you claim through us rather than chasing a brand overseas.

Questions
Before you buy
Will this chair fit me, and will it fit my room?
It is rated to a 120kg weight limit and measures 72 x 67 x 116-123 cm assembled. The height figure is the range the backrest reaches at its lowest and highest seat setting, so check it against any shelf or sloped ceiling above the desk. Gaming chairs are consistently larger in person than they look in photographs - measure the floor space before you order.
How far does it recline, and how do the armrests move?
The backrest goes from upright to 90-135 degrees, and the armrests are 2D (2 directions). Armrest movement is the adjustment that matters most day to day: being able to bring the rests in and forward so your forearms are supported at the desk is what keeps shoulders and neck out of trouble on a long session.
What holds the height, and how long will it last?
A Class 3 gas lift on a 320mm nylon base. Gas lift class is the honest indicator of how long a chair keeps its height - a higher class is rated for more weight and more cycles - and a metal base resists the wobble that nylon develops over time. These are the two parts that fail on a chair, which is why they are worth comparing between models rather than going on looks.
Does it arrive assembled?
No - it ships flat-packed, with the assembly kit and the manual in the box. Nothing extra is needed. Allow yourself an unhurried half hour and, if you can, a second pair of hands for lining the backrest up with the seat, which is the one step that is awkward on your own.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
Yes - this one is in stock. Order before 12:00 on a working day and it ships the same day; after that it goes out the next working day. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, so an order placed over a weekend or a public holiday ships on the next working day.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
Payments are processed by Stitch. At the last step of checkout you are taken to Stitch’s secure page to pay, and brought back here once it is done. Your card details are entered on Stitch’s secure, PCI-compliant page and never touch our systems.
