Use DisplayPort, not HDMI
This is the one setup detail that catches people out. The DisplayPort 1.4a input carries the full 2560 x 1440 at 200Hz, but the two HDMI 2.0b inputs top out at 1440p and 144Hz because HDMI 2.0 does not have the bandwidth for more. MSI ships a DisplayPort cable in the box for exactly this reason, so use it for your PC and keep HDMI for a console. A PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X will run at 1440p and 120Hz here, which is as much as those consoles output anyway.
1440p is where a 27-inch panel belongs
At 2560 x 1440 a 27-inch screen lands around 109 pixels per inch, which is sharp enough that text stops looking soft and you get real working room next to a browser. It is also the resolution where a mid-range graphics card can still chase high frame rates, unlike 4K. Rapid IPS keeps viewing angles wide and transitions fast, contrast is 1200:1 which is slightly better than most IPS panels but still well short of a VA screen in a dark room, and colour coverage is 115% sRGB with 90% DCI-P3. HDR is HDR Ready only at 300 nits.

Before you buy
What do I need to run it at its full refresh rate?
To reach 200Hz at 2560 x 1440 you need a graphics card able to output that mode, a cable that supports it, and the refresh rate selected in Windows display settings - monitors often default to 60Hz out of the box. The ports on this panel are listed under Specifications above.
What sort of panel is it?
It is Rapid IPS with a 0.5ms GtG response time. Panel type is the main thing that decides how a monitor looks off-centre and how it handles colour and contrast, so it is worth weighing against refresh rate rather than choosing on the headline number alone.
Can I wall-mount it or put it on an arm?
This is a 27.0 inch panel. Whether it takes a VESA mount, and at which spacing, is listed under Specifications - if a VESA size is shown there, any arm or bracket rated for that pattern and the monitor’s weight will fit. If you are not sure, send us the model of your arm and we will check.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?

What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
How can I pay?
