The sensible top-up module
DDR4-3200 is the highest speed the JEDEC standard defines, which makes this module unusually easy to live with: it reaches its rated 3200MHz on the default profile, without needing XMP enabled or timings adjusted. That matters in a prebuilt or an office machine where the BIOS may be locked down. Pristine is GeIL's no-frills line — bare PCB, no lighting, no spreader — which keeps the price sane and the height low enough for slim chassis and low-clearance coolers. 8GB is not a gaming target any more
Be honest with yourself about what this is. 8GB is no longer enough for modern gaming; 16GB is the practical floor and 32GB is the sensible build. If you are speccing memory for a machine that plays games, buy a 2x8GB or 2x16GB kit rather than a lone 8GB stick. Sold on its own this module runs in single channel, which delivers roughly half the memory bandwidth of a matched pair and costs real framerate in games. It is also DDR4: the notch position differs from DDR5, so it will not physically seat in an AM5 or LGA1851 board. CL22 is a relaxed latency even for JEDEC-spec memory; an XMP gaming kit at CL16 is meaningfully tighter, though for office and browser workloads you will never notice.
