A plain, dependable 16GB DDR5 module for building or expanding a modern desktop.
Quick Specs
- 16GB single DDR5 UDIMM (not a matched kit)
- 5600MHz rated speed once the profile is enabled in BIOS
- CL46 CAS latency, JEDEC standard timings
- 1.1V nominal DDR5 operating voltage
- 288-pin desktop DIMM, bare green PCB, no heat spreader
Who this module is for
This is Crucial's no-nonsense DDR5 module: a single 16GB stick built to the JEDEC standard rather than tuned for enthusiast headroom. It suits an office or study machine, a small-form-factor build, or a prebuilt desktop that shipped with 8GB and needs more room. Because Crucial is Micron's consumer brand, the DRAM on this module comes from the same company that fabricates it, and JEDEC-standard modules like this one tend to be the least fussy thing you can put in a DDR5 board. If you want capacity without arguing with BIOS settings, this is the safe pick.
Where it falls short
Two honest caveats. First, this is a single module, so on its own it runs in single channel — your CPU talks to one stick instead of two, and in gaming that costs real framerate, particularly on integrated graphics. Buy two matching modules, or add a second later. Second, CL46 at 5600MHz is standard latency, not fast latency; a tuned CL36 gaming kit will edge it in 1% lows. If you are building a gaming rig where every frame matters, choose a matched dual-channel kit with tighter timings instead. For everything else, the difference is small.
FEATURES:
- Micron-manufactured DDR5 DRAM with Crucial's own validation programme
- On-die ECC built into the DDR5 standard for improved data integrity
- Runs at DDR5's 1.1V nominal, lower than DDR4 at the same workload
- Bare-PCB low-profile design clears tall CPU coolers without interference
- Plug-and-play JEDEC timings — boots at rated speed on compliant boards

Why Crucial?
Crucial is Micron's consumer memory brand, which means the modules are built by one of only three companies in the world that actually fabricate DRAM. Every Crucial module from AZonline is genuine stock carrying a Limited Lifetime warranty.
Platform note: DDR5 requires an AM5 or Intel LGA1700/LGA1851 motherboard. DDR5 and DDR4 are not interchangeable — the notch position physically differs and a DDR5 module will not seat in a DDR4 slot. Always check your motherboard's QVL before purchase.
