A starter kit, not just a fan pack
iCUE LINK fans don't plug into motherboard fan headers. Each one carries power, speed control and lighting over a single iCUE LINK connector, and they chain together back to an iCUE LINK System Hub. That hub is in this box, which is why the starter kit costs more than an expansion pack. If you already own a LINK hub, an expansion pack is the cheaper way to add fans. If this is your first LINK purchase, start here. The RX140 RGB is tuned for static pressure, so it suits a 280mm radiator or a filtered front intake as well as general case airflow.
What to check before you buy
These are 140mm fans, so confirm your case or radiator has 140mm mounting positions; many smaller cases only take 120mm at the top. Everything is set up in Corsair's iCUE software, including fan curves and lighting, so you'll want iCUE installed rather than relying on BIOS fan control. Corsair lists its QuikTurn screw system as a separate screw pack. The white version suits white builds; mixing it with black LINK components works fine electrically but looks deliberate only if you plan for it. At full speed the fans are rated at 36 dBA, so a sensible curve matters.
