A 480Hz WOLED panel that answers in 0.03ms, on a 1440p screen your graphics card can realistically feed.
Quick Specs
- 26.5" WOLED, 2560 x 1440, 16:9
- 480Hz maximum refresh rate
- 0.03ms grey-to-grey response
- VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black, 1,300 cd/m² HDR peak
- DisplayPort 1.4 DSC, 2x HDMI 2.1 FRL, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
Why 480Hz at 1440p and not 4K
ASUS put this panel at QHD deliberately. At 2560 x 1440 a current upper-mid GPU can push the frame rates that make 480Hz mean something in CS2, Valorant or Overwatch, where the win comes from seeing a flick land a frame earlier. A 4K panel at the same refresh rate would be a number you never reach. The trade-off is pixel density: 26.5 inches at 1440p is about 111 PPI, sharp enough for daily work but not the text crispness of a 4K 27". If your hours are split between competitive shooters and spreadsheets, that is the compromise you are accepting.
OLED contrast, and the burn-in question
The 1,500,000:1 contrast figure is not marketing rounding. Each pixel switches itself off, so night scenes have no grey glow and HDR highlights sit against genuinely black surroundings. The honest caveat is static content. Taskbars, HUDs and IDE sidebars left on screen for eight hours a day are what shortens an OLED's life, and ASUS ships OLED Care pixel-shifting and cleaning cycles precisely because that risk is real. ASUS covers panel burn-in under the three-year warranty, which is the reassurance that matters. If this is your only monitor and it spends the working day showing Excel, buy an IPS instead.
