The best-value flagship on AM5

Taichi Lite is the same board as the standard X870E Taichi underneath — identical power delivery, identical PCB, identical connectivity — with the cog-themed cover, the RGB and the fancier packaging removed to cut the price. If you are building inside a closed panel case, or you simply do not care about the light show, you get halo-class hardware for meaningfully less money. That combination of full X870E lane count, dual USB4 and four M.2 slots makes it a genuinely strong base for a high-end gaming machine that doubles as a video editing or 3D workstation.

What you are giving up

The savings come out of appearance and accessories. There is no decorative I/O cover, no RGB lighting, and the bundle is trimmed compared to the full Taichi — expect the essentials rather than a generous box of extras. It is also a physically dense ATX board: with four M.2 drives and a triple-slot graphics card, airflow around the chipset area needs thought, and some M.2 and SATA lanes are shared, so read the manual before populating everything. If you want a showpiece build with matching illuminated armour, buy the standard Taichi and pay the difference knowingly.
