Who this monitor is for

This is point-of-sale hardware. The 5:4 shape and 1280 x 1024 resolution are the long-standing standard for retail till software, restaurant ordering systems, warehouse terminals and medical reception desks, where the application was written for exactly this canvas. Single point touch means one finger at a time: taps and button presses, no pinch-to-zoom and no two-finger gestures. That is all a till interface needs. If you are shopping for a touchscreen to use as a creative tablet or a Windows desktop with gesture support, this is the wrong product.

Built for a counter, not a workstation

The stand hinges from 15° to 66°, so it folds almost flat for signature capture or stands upright for a customer-facing display. The power supply is built into the chassis rather than hanging off a brick, which matters when the unit is bolted under a counter with limited cable space. Video comes in over D-Sub only and touch reports back over USB, so it works with older POS PCs that never had a digital output. Expect TN panel viewing angles: fine for one operator looking straight at it, poor from the side.

Before you buy

What do I need to run it at its full refresh rate?
To reach 75Hz at 1280 x 1024 you need a graphics card able to output that mode, a cable that supports it, and the refresh rate selected in Windows display settings - monitors often default to 60Hz out of the box. The ports on this panel are listed under Specifications above.
What sort of panel is it?
It is TN with a 5ms response time. Panel type is the main thing that decides how a monitor looks off-centre and how it handles colour and contrast, so it is worth weighing against refresh rate rather than choosing on the headline number alone.
Can I wall-mount it or put it on an arm?
This is a 17.0 inch panel. Whether it takes a VESA mount, and at which spacing, is listed under Specifications - if a VESA size is shown there, any arm or bracket rated for that pattern and the monitor’s weight will fit. If you are not sure, send us the model of your arm and we will check.
Is it in stock, and when will it ship?
This one is out of stock at the moment. Stock does come back in - WhatsApp us on 079 491 0181 with the model and we will tell you what the supplier is showing and let you know when it lands, rather than leaving you to keep checking the page.
What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
We deliver by courier anywhere in South Africa, and delivery is R180 on orders under R2 500 and free on orders of R2 500 or more. It takes 1-3 working days to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and areas within 100km of them, and 2-4 working days to areas more than 100km from a major centre, counted from the day the order is dispatched. Need it sooner? Express delivery is 1-2 working days for R210, or R150 on orders of R2 500 or more - choose it at checkout. We do not ship outside South Africa.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Collection is from 11 Voortrekker Avenue, Edenvale, Gauteng, by arrangement - message us first so we can have the order picked and waiting. We are open 09:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday.
What warranty does it carry, and how do I claim?
The warranty period for this product is listed at the end of the Specifications section above. Claims go through us, not the manufacturer - contact us with your order number and a description of the fault and we will handle it from there. Separately from any warranty, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return goods that are defective, unsafe or not fit for their intended purpose.
What if I change my mind?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind - longer than the seven days the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires. The item needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and we pay the return shipping. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, within 30 days of the return reaching us.
